Weather conditions play a major role
Maintaining a golf course and presenting it in a pristine condition can be very challenging at times.
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND
Thank you to everyone who joined us this past Tuesday. What a fantastic day filled with sunshine & great golf.
Lush green grass isn’t always the goal
It’s common that golfers wish for lush green grass everywhere on the course regardless of weather, maintenance budget, grass types or anything else. It doesn’t help that “lush” is also a common term in golf course advertising. While green is beautiful, it isn’t always the best colour for a course.
Juan and Ivan making strides on the golf course!
Congratulations to Juan Barnard for winning the Pezula Junior Open!
Thank you to all the Members who participated in the recent SGM

Please repair pitch marks
Pitch marks take even longer to heal during the cold winter months when the grass growth on the greens slows down considerably. It is important to fix a pitch mark correctly to prevent lasting damage to the putting greens’ surface.
Another great week at Pinnacle Point
On Tuesday, the 25th of July, a stunning day at Pinnacle Point, 12 of our Pinnacle Ladies took part in our weekly competition.

How to become a better putter
Which putter length is correct for you? 33-, 34- or 35-inch? To find out, we’ll need to know how tall you are. Once we’ve fit you with the correct length putter, you’re going to find it a lot easier to develop a consistent putting stroke..
Why we need heavy downpours on our golf course?
During the past 5 days, we measured 85mm of rain on the golf course and it benefits us in more ways than just getting free nitrogen-rich water on the turfgrass.
Here's to green fairways and minimal putts!
With winter setting in, we experienced all four seasons this past week, including the rain which is very much welcomed.
Have a great week

Why do greens play differently in the afternoon?
Thousands of stimpmeter measurements taken during tournaments and trials have indicated that greens will slow down during the day. Many things can influence the putting surface during a normal day of play. After the morning mowing many things happen on the green and the climatic conditions for the day can impact the playability of the putting surface.
The new Golf Rules are in
I am delighted to announce that our new EZGO golf cart fleet is finally all here & the GPS system is in full swing. I believe we now boast the best fleet from St Francis Bay all the way to Atlantic Beach. Who will be this year's King and Queen?

On another note, we have signed a deal with EZGo cart manufacturers and Pace GPS systems to replace our current fleet.
Srixon’s best just got better
Srixon’s previous generation of ZX clubs helped golfers across the skill spectrum improve their game. ZX gave amateurs easier access to distance off the tee and more control into the green, and helped Tour Pros like Hideki Matsuyama and Minjee Lee win major championships. Srixon has refined that winning lineup even further with their next generation ZX; the all-new ZX Mk II.
The Vodacom Origins of Golf was a huge success
We have a winner
Congratulations Combrinck Smit on winning the Vodacom Origins of Golf Final. What a great honour to have hosted this year’s #VOGFinal.
Thank you to the Sunshine Tour, Origins of Golf, SuperSport, Mossel Bay Tourism & everyone that made this auspicious event possible.
Let's help you find your perfect fit
When you think of golf’s scariest shots, what usually comes to mind is the drive on a tight fairway, the approach over a water hazard, the deep greenside bunker and the fairway wood off the deck. But there aren’t any gremlins lying in wait on the green, right?… Well, what about a lightning-fast, downhill, sharp-breaking 4-footer to save par?
Dont miss the Sunshine Tour live on SuperSport
Pinnacle Point now boasts a high-definition live stream of the 18th green just in time for the Sunshine Tour Vodacom Origins of Golf.
