Kings & Queens Golf Tournament: Who will take the crown?

Treat yourself to a royal weekend of golf at the inaugural Kings & Queens Golf Tournament at Pinnacle Point at the end of May.

Golf enthusiasts of all skill levels are cordially invited to a superb weekend of golf at the inaugural Kings & Queens Golf Tournament, taking place at Pinnacle Point Estate from 27-29 May 2016, in association with the Garden Route Casino.

The Kings & Queens Golf Tournament is a golfing weekend like no other, giving players the opportunity to compete against golfers from across the country over three days at the golfing gem of the Garden Route. Designed by well-known South African golf course architect, Peter Matkovich, assisted by Darren Clarke, Pinnacle Point Golf Course, celebrating its 10th anniversary, offers players a one-of-a-kind golfing experience, with panoramic views of the Indian Ocean from every hole.

The entrance fee (R2 200 per player; R1 125 for Pinnacle Point Golf Club members) includes entry to the par 3 competition, green fees, use of a golf cart for each round, access to the driving range and practice facilities throughout the weekend. Players will also receive a welcome gift (valued at R1 000), and enjoy a cocktail function on the Friday evening, a sumptuous gala dinner on the Saturday evening, and a prize giving lunch on the Sunday.

Flexible packages at a reduced fee (R1 275 per player) are also on offer for golfers wishing to play two rounds only (Saturday and Sunday). Friday’s cocktail function and the welcome gift are not included in this package.

Players are encouraged to invite their families to join them for the weekend as there are plenty of activities to keep them busy off the green, including beaches, heritage sites, renowned Southern Cape flora and fauna, and the Garden Route Casino entertainment hub. All-inclusive accommodation packages are also available on request.

The inaugural Kings & Queens Golf Tournament is set to become an annual event, attracting golfers from across the country to enjoy the award-winning facilities of Pinnacle Point Estate and revel in a weekend of healthy competition and camaraderie.

Entries are limited – the tournament can accommodate a maximum of 60 mixed teams of two – so early booking is essential! Handicaps are restricted to 24 for men, 36 for ladies.
