Dear Ladies,
Our League Teams had a busy Monday:
Bronze Team played against George at George. Unfortunately, we didn’t come home with a win, but we should still be sitting at the top of the log.
Silver Teams both played at Mossel Bay:
Silver 1 fought hard and came home with a draw.
Silver 2 gave their best but, unfortunately, didn’t manage a win this time.
We’ll keep on fighting – there’s still one game left next Monday!
On Tuesday, we played against MossPinn at Pinnacle Point with a fantastic 11-9 victory! Well played, ladies!
Next week, many of our ladies will be taking part in the Fancourt Open Day, so there will be no Tuesday competition.
Have a fabulous weekend!

Pinnacle Point – A World Heritage Treasure
Pinnacle Point is home to one of the most unique golf courses in the world. But beyond its renowned layout, dramatic cliffs, and ocean views lies something even more extraordinary – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Point of Human Origins. Standing on the 9th tee or on the green, you might mistake the caves below for just another ocean-carved wonder. In reality, they tell one of the greatest stories of all time – the story of humankind’s beginnings.
After nearly 25 years of excavations since 2000, South Africa celebrated a historic milestone on 26 July 2024: UNESCO officially declared Mossel Bay’s Pinnacle Point a World Heritage Site. This remarkable accolade joins the country’s prestigious list of ten existing sites, honouring locations of both natural splendour and profound cultural significance.
Among them is Pinnacle Point site 13B (PP13B), the only site in Africa showing evidence of early human adaptation to the sea over 120,000 years ago, with occupation dating back around 160,000 years. These caves are sacred in many ways – revealing how our ancestors developed advanced cognition, emotions, language, and artistic skills that shaped humanity as we know it.
The World Heritage recognition honours not only the scientific and archaeological value of these caves but also their social and cultural significance. They remind us of who we are, where we come from, and the deep connections we share as humans.
So, the next time you’re on the course, pause to reflect on this remarkable place. Better yet, book a guided tour with the Point of Human Origins and experience firsthand the awe of standing where humankind’s story began.
Best regards,
